
Wine tasting – Pairing
COURSE OBJECTIVES (Duration: 20 hours)
The objective of the course is to learn the basic notions about grape varieties, both red and white, how white, rosé and red wines are made, and some more special ones such as sparkling, sweet and fortified wines, as well as the fundamentals of distillation and the most well-known distillates. You also learn to taste a wine, in its three phases: visual, olfactory and gustatory. This course will also explain the functions of the sommelier, from choosing the wine to serving it, managing the winery and preparing the menu. And finally, the classic and current pairings will be shown, being able to perfect the choice of wine according to the food.
